We are excited to announce that you can submit a rent adjustment request online in the landlord portal. The user-friendly process keeps you informed every step of the way; check the status of a request, see the proposed effective date of a request or check the reason a request is pending. In order to use the feature, you must have a registered landlord portal account.



Also, all applicants are encouraged to visit the Applicant Portal and review information that is on record. Please update the Portal with new phone numbers, email addresses and mailing addresses as soon as possible at



Participants will be able to complete various online forms, but you will also be able to view certification details and utility information, view your next recertification date, download a copy of your HAP contract and more at

Message from the CEO: JEFFERY K. PATTERSON

I am pleased to welcome our new Housing Choice Voucher Program Director Heather Gaines and our new Housing Choice Voucher Program Deputy Director Marcus Williamson to the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA). Heather Gaines, who previously worked for the Pittsburgh Housing Authority, is a highly-qualified professional that brings nearly 20 years of housing experience to CMHA. Marcus Williamson, who previously worked for the City of Virginia Beach Department of Housing and Neighborhood Preservation as well as the Columbus Housing Authority, is a strong administrator, planner and brings more than 17 years of housing experience to CMHA.

Community Spotlight: PCs for People

Mission: Through electronic reuse PCs for People provides the opportunity for all low-income individuals and nonprofits to benefit from the life changing impact of computers and mobile internet.


In fall 2018, CMHA’s ConnectHome imitative received a grant from the Cleveland Foundation to provide Low Income Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Program participants with two new digital inclusion services in Cuyahoga County. Services include mobile hotspot lending at all Cleveland Public Library branches and four Cuyahoga County Public Library branches. The second digital inclusion service is provided through PCs for People. Residents can buy affordable hotspots, laptops and desktops from the PCs for People storefront. More than 200 participants within the Low Income Public Housing program and more than 30 participants within the Housing Choice Voucher program have received affordable devices from PCs for People.
